Donate Books
WE APPRECIATE YOUR DONATIONS!
The Friends gratefully accept books, magazines, CDs, cassette tapes, videotapes or your monetary donations. You can leave donations at the Olympia Library Returns counter. Also, your donations are tax-deductible; and library staff will provide you with a receipt – just ask.
Donating your books is very easy:
- You can simply drop your books off at the circulation desk of the downtown Olympia library. The staff will take care of the rest.
- If you have a lot of books and can’t bring them downtown, please email our book sale coordinator Irene at irene.bookworm (at ) gmail (dot) com.
- Its even tax deductible! The library will provide you with a receipt for your tax purposes.
FYI: Between 1,500 and 2,000 of your book donations per year go directly into the Library’s inventory and onto the Library shelves! This is especially important now because the Library budget for new acquisitions has been severely cut.
